5 Shots You Can Not Skip In Your Branding Photoshoot

Branding photoshoots can be a little daunting. You’re not used to being in front of the camera, and you don’t even know where to begin. I’m here to help! Let’s talk about 5 must-have shots for your branding photoshoot.

1. The Headshot

This shot is vital! It’s necessary for social media profile photos, email signatures, and print materials. It’s more traditional, but that’s what makes it a classic. These should be updated about twice a year.

2. The Lifestyle Shot

This should show a glimpse into your lifestyle. Do you like to go to the gym, run outside at a park, or go to a local coffee shop regularly? Showcasing this peek into your life tells people a little bit about you and helps make you more relatable and easier to connect with.

3. The Personality Shot

Let your personality shine through in these photos. Do you love snacking on Oreos and reading on the couch with big fuzzy socks? Show that. Are you obsessed with your dog? Show that. Whether you’re bubbly and love dancing or are more timid and shy, these kinds of things can be portrayed through imagery. It’s another opportunity for people to better get to know you!

4. The Product Shot

If you make or sell products in your business, you should show them off in photos! Use flat lays and wear or use the products. Let people see them in action!

5. The Humanizer Shot

Everything isn’t always rainbows and butterflies, and it’s okay to not be okay all the time. Take this opportunity to show off a messy room in your house or yourself without being all done up. These kinds of photos take a look at the person BEHIND the business and life outside of work.

An extra tip for you to be prepared for your branding photoshoot is to practice taking selfies before your session. This will help you get a little more comfortable with having your photo taken and being in front of the camera. You can also use this to figure out if you have a preferred side of your face!

During a branding photoshoot with me, we will put on some tunes and just have FUN! If you’re not comfortable or confident, it will show in your photos. Dancing and having fun will help you relax and also - movement is key! You have full permission from me to let loose and move ya body, sis!!
